Water Data and Agriculture With Jagdeesh Rao, Jasmer Dhingra & Kunal Prasad

Episode 2

Agriculture is the largest user of freshwater globally. Nearly 70% of freshwater withdrawals globally are consumed by agriculture. This demand is only projected to increase. With irregular monsoon patterns and depleting water levels, ensuring sustainable management of water for agriculture is crucial for food security and livelihoods as well as biodiversity and climate change.

Jagdeesh Rao from Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), Jasmer Dhingra from IDH, Kunal Prasad from CropIn have joined us to share their experience on-ground in water management for agriculture. They will discuss the problems they see, the solutions they are creating and how they are taking decisions and influencing decision-making through water data.

Guests: Jagdeesh Rao, Jasmer Dhingra and Kunal Prasad
